Best restaurant in Lake Worth and one of the best italian restaurants in Palm Beach Co. The menu is always interesting, a mix of traditional italian, and more modern fare, always some interesting fish and seafood preparations. Wine menu is extensive. Service is friendly and on par with price.

Our friends took us here to celebrate our wedding, our main reason of going is because we had heard about the fresh gelato made with liquid nitrogen. Upon sitting down our server did not know if it was in stock (apparently no pre-shift pow-wows to discuss inventory and specials?). The service was mediocre in my eyes. Our servers seemed to be in a bit of hurry to get back to schmoozing with other tables that were much older and probably had much larger bank accounts than us. Half way through our meal we ran out of wine and would have liked another glass but the waiter didn't stop by. Our "water and bread" waiter was much more attentive and friendly than the main one. I do have to say the veal parmigiana was very delicious, but for $50 and doesn't come on a bed or even a small side pasta, a little ridiculous. Mediocre service, overpriced, good food. Worth it? Not sure. Glad I went, but I wont be going back.

It's always a good idea to give a restaurant a second chance. My first experience with this restaurant back in May 2014 was not great. But my husband and I returned last night (December 14, 2014) for an anniversary dinner and the food and service were spectacular!! I am thus writing this new review. From the excellent sour dough rolls dipped in the best olive oil I've ever tasted to the gelato made at the table, our experience was sublime. The chef sent out some complimentary dishes which were incredible such as bronzino ceviche. While the salads were ok, this restaurant is not about salads -- it's about incredibly good Italian dishes. THe fig and chestnut risotto was to die for. The Bronzino was so tender it melted in my mouth. My husband had the fresh snapper and he inhaled it because it was so tasty! The waiters frequently stopped by the table to ask if we needed anything and to wisk the course plates away. And the best part of the meal: gelatto made at the table with liquid nitrogen. The chef/owner Angelo takes great pride in providing exceptional Italian food and he has succeeded. When I wrote my first review in May, he was not at the restaurant that night and this might have been part of the problem. Because our experience last night was so different from our experience in May that it was like going to two different restaurants. While this is a high-end restaurant (Olive Garden it is not!), the food is worth it. It's a place to celebrate an special occasion or just to treat yourself to incredibly tasty food. My husband and I are vegetarians who eat fish, so were not able to try the meat dishes. But I'm sure they are as tasty as everything else on this menu.

This restaurant is far from closed. Had a party with eight of us, and were seated in the wine room alcove. Food was very good quality, and the staff was very accommodating. Waiter had a bit of a language challenge, as English was not his native tongue, but not problematic. A bit pricy, but was very good - excellent in presentation, preparation, and taste. Was the bus boy's (Philip) first day of his first ever work experience, and he was a joy. Worked diligently, and was trying his best to make sure our boisterous group had a good time. Would recommend for a special evening.
Fabulous experience, extremely fresh oysters from British Columbia, with a glass of Franciacorta sparkling wine, wait staff was very attentive. I look forward to bringing my parents there next time they're in town.

Place was like a funeral chapel. They were trying for elegant and missed. Whole restaurant was confusing with different menus and wine lists at different price points in different rooms. Service was good, although some of the staff did not know that the restaurant advertised itself as an Italian Tapas Bar! Food was not terrible, but was wildly overpriced for what it was. Would never (!) go back.

Fantastic real Italian food in an off the beaten path location. We were treated royally by Angelo and the whole staff at Paradiso. Angelo, who's roots are from Sorrento prepared the most delicious Ravioli and risotto we have ever had. Food was extremely fresh, salads crisp-just the most authentic Italian food you can find outside of Italy. Gelato was homemade and prepared right at the table. Paradiso's location in the sleepy beach town of Lake Worth is quiet and quaint- a little secret in South Florida worth driving to. List of Italian wines is excellent. Thank you Angelo for making our family feel welcome in your resturant. We will be back on our next trip from Central California. Ron Paliughi

Way over priced average food. The $16 caesar salad was sad. The entrees were nothing special. All this in a no atmosphere barn-like room when they have a much more attractive room with no one in it. That said, the service was good. $230 for a meal neither my wife or I will remember tomorrow.

I was shocked to get the bill which said that the dinner special-- the "black ink pasta with mixed seafood" was for $52.00!!!!! Seriously people??? I'm sorry but there are way better restaurants in New York City that serve the same thing for much less. I could get a great steak for less than what you charged for the bland, tasteless unfresh pasta which was all slimy, shrimp which tasted like it came from Costco and the small clams which was also tasteless. The crayfish that decorated the dish was just ok. Some garlic was tossed in for flavor but it certainly was NOT worth freaking $52.00 for that entree! If there is one thing I learned here is that if your Waiter tells you the specials while he is taking your order, make sure to ask him how much it costs before he walks away!

This is a very nice place. They have a pretty deep wine list which is always a plus for me, and as usual, the wines are double the price. Maybe I am used to this, so it doesn't bother me. If it bothers you, the key is to order cheaper blends, because the winemaker can use the best grapes of the harvests in abundance, over single varietals. Otherwise, order the odd-ball varietal that doesn't get overpriced due to popularity. In the end though, order what you like, and make the wine about half the experience money-wise. Just my informed opinion. After a Sauv Blanc with the salads, I had a bottle of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo (about 40-60 dollars). The wine was nice, nothing too showy or flex-your-muscle overpowering, and it held up to the mushroom-heavy porcini and wild mushroom risotto my lovely partner had. The amuse-bouche was clever, white anchovy square with an unusual citrus twist. delectable. I foolishly ordered the Salmon, because I somewhere lost my sense of adventure, and maybe it was a good choice, since I obviously needed some zinc to jump-start my brain. It was very good, but not great. That is probably my fault. It was a boring choice. The salads were fantastic, the cocktails hit the spot. In the end this place took a decent chunk out of my wallet, but I knew what I was getting into. The service was great, the owner pleasant, the bartender funny. First visit always leaves something to be desired, because I order conservatively. We will see how it rates next time. Maybe it will be for lunch.

Food was excellent though out of several items on Sunday evening. Very expensive for the portion sizes. Their website indicates a lounge but I couldn't see where one was, the entrance is strange as you wander to get to where patrons and staff are around the corner. Full bar and nice wine but only one beer choice and it was expensive. Glad we went but probably won't go again.

My wife and I like to eat out, and we figured it was about time we shared our impression of Paradiso, the upscale, creative, extremely fine-dining restaurant in Lake Worth, Florida. There really is nothing to quite match it in Palm Beach County. Last Sunday was no exception. My wife and I looked at each other and smiled after tasting the amuse bouche - a chunk of really fresh and flavorful crabmeat served perfectly seasoned and lightly sauced. From that point on, each plate was not only an ideal model of what one's highest expectations could be, but was picture-perfect in presentation. I wished each time we were served that I had brought a camera. From the pompano almondine to the yellow beet/goat cheese/macadamia salad to the magazine cover-worthy array of fresh vegetables, the evening was the kind you want to tell all your friends about. And we did. We also recommended, from dinners past, the branzino, baked in a shell of salt that is cracked open at the table; the soft shell crab salad; and the lobster risotto, which is to die for. As for wines, it's hard to imagine there is a restaurant in Florida with a wider selection. We have a modest pocketbook, so we are happy for the help offered in choosing. I must say, for matching the wine with the dish, I can confidently advise others to do the same. For a fun experiment, ask your waiter to recommend a wine that doesn't go with the flavor of the food. It can open your eyes Paradiso's desserts match the level of the rest. In how many restaurants can you pre-order a souffle'? Where else have you seen gelato made tableside, whipped to order in a bowl chilled to way below zero by liquid nitrogen? The list of pluses can go on and on. Some important attributes one will experience are: refined and artfully designed rooms and an ambience of leisure and beauty. Paradiso has an early bird special and they also serve lunch, although we haven't tried those yet.

Went to dinner here with my girlfriend last night. This quaint little restaurant was a nice treat for us. Very elegant and charming inside, and the staff was remarkably attentive. We met the owner, Angelo, who came to check on us during our dinner. Very friendly and nice guy. Food was A+ quality, good selection of wines, and overall just a great place for a nice dinner. Will be returning here soon!

Not worth the money, my meal, the Spinosini Carbonara was completely bland, I could have boiled spaghetti at home with egg and it would have tasted the same. my husband's dinner, the bison was delicious. The older gentlemen that first waited on us was pretentious. We have him a living social coupon and that was the nail in the coffin. Would not come back. Much better restaurants in the area.

I had my first experience at Paradiso this week. And wow, it was wonderful. Food is terrific and done with creativity. Not the same old pasta and sauce etc. The owner Angelo gives the place a great vibe, the wine list is great and the wait staff is right there when you need them without being in the way. Nice job! And you have to try the Nitrogen ice cream perpared tableside. I won't ruin the fun- just order it.

Stopped in on our way back to Orlando from Miami after already having had lunch. I really wanted to check out another four diamond restaurant on our trip and was not disappointed. We arrived around 3:30 which is sort of a dead zone time between lunch and dinner service. We were greeted warmly and invited to sit anywhere we would like. We chose the bar so we might grab an appetizer. Nicolette was our server/bartender and was a sheer delight. She made great recommendations considering we were looking for a small bite. All of the pasta is hand made on site and can be ordered in an appetizer size. I selected the sheep's milk gnocchi and it was outstanding. I savored every single bite of this manna. What was supposed to be a quick pit stop turned into a two hour experience that left me feeling blissful. The food, ambiance, and warmth of our host made me wish I lived in Lake Worth. Experiences like this in any establishment are rare and I plan to return as often as possible! Simply divine.

Went to paradiso for the first time last night. Service was impeccable and with a smile. Restaurant decor was pleasant. Food was delicious, especially the veal. The only thing is that this place is very very expensive. It is an upscale restaurant and you definitely pay the price for that.

This place is NOT worth it. We went here for a rehearsal dinner and didn't have to pay for our meal so that should tell you how much I didn't like it. 1st off...this place is NOT air-conditioned! Unreal. How can that even be at a south Florida restaurant. 2nd...the power went out like 3 times and it had nothing to do with the weather. 3rd...the food was not that great...and I'm sorry...if you are Trying to be an upscale place you can't have mediocre food and a great decor and think you are good to go. If this is what paradise is like then I don't want to go.

This place is an over-priced, over-rated joke. Since my mother in law is an excellent italian cook, I know what I am talking about. I have also traveled extensively in Italy. If you have ever experienced a "wow" moment when you bite into food, then you also know how quality food is supposed to taste. The key to good food starts with quality ingredients. If you don't use quality ingredients, you do not get quality results. This fraud of a joint does not use quality ingredients. I ordered linquine con vongele (spagetti with clams for the uninitiated). It was flavorless, with lousy quality pasta. The tiny clams they use do not produce enough juice to flavor the dish. They need to supplement it with some additional clam juice. My in-laws ordered the "fresh" fettucine with seafood. Again, the seafood was flavorless and the calamari was hard and rubbery. In addition, the fettucine was hard. Fresh pasta is not supposed to be hard. Have you ever seen a cooking show when they loosely toss the uncooked, fresh pasta into small mounds? It is not hard. This pasta may have been fresh once, but not on the night I ate there. It was also pasty and flavorless despite the fact that is was supposed to have sepia ink in it. For the prices they charge, the quality of all of the ingredients should be top notch - they are not. The meat course was next. Honestly, the veal piccata was decent. The veal loin wrapped in prosciutto was flavorless. The breaded veal milanese was passable, but the breading was flavorless and the greens and tomatoes served with it were bland. The cookies served after dinner were also flavorless. If you want to impress someone by spending money on poor quality food, this is the place for you. If you want to impress someone by taking them to a good restaurant, this is NOT the place. I wanted to give a zero star rating. Aside from the fact that the site doesn't permit such a rating, the decent veal piccata saved it from a complete zero. Not that it really matters when the food lets you down, but the waiters were nice and service was acceptable. This place is (was?) associated with Buona Sera restaurant in Jupiter, FL. While Buona Sera is equally expensive, I have had much better experiences there.

After two visits in the last two weeks, I feel an update, and upgrade, is called for. All the good things I said last year remain true... even more so. This year we went to one of the weekly wine-tastings [Wednesdays]. Wow! $30 buys you six tastes [flights] plus some delicious hors d'oeuvres. Very pleasant experience. Of course, if you want to order some additional food, no problem. Angelo, the owner, is always on hand, so if you have any special request, ask him directly. He is very cordial and accommodating, and takes great pride in his restaurant. Thus, when I asked to have the TV turned off in the bar to enhance the intimacy of the setting, no problem.

My husband & I have been going to Paradiso for over 12 years. It is our favorite restaurant. For veal chop enthusiasts - Angelo's veal chop is amazing ( according to my husband. ) They make a special entree for me - chicken ( not veal) milanese. The service, ambience & the nicest owner we know, Angelo - make this a dining experience that you will enjoy. Yes, it is a bit pricey, but for us - worth it.

My husband and I always wanted to try this place, but knew it was pricey. So when groupon ran a special for two people we jumped on it. my husband is a foody and a wine person, very picky. He ended up loving this place! Our reservation was saturday at 6:30. They sat us right away. Its 2 rooms, the front room was empty the back room was half filled, when we left it was full. We were there for about hour and half. We had four waiter serving us at all times, ever time we switched meals they brought us fresh silver wear. We had goose liver with a fig (sounds yuk) was excellent! The chef made everyone in the restaurant a little appetizer on him, was excellent! for a main course we had veal & risotto. melted in your mouth, risotto could cooked a few minutes longer. for desert they made fresh mango ice cream with liquid nitrogen in front of us. Very cool & a nice touch! a glass of wine or any hard liquor was a double. the crowd is mainly 60 & over. We will definitely return.hopefully they will run another special.

This is one of my grandfather's favorite restaurants and he has been coming here for years. Decades probably. So, whenever I visit him he always wants to go here. And I happily oblige :) I've never had a bad meal here and the ambiance is beautiful. It is definitely more fancy (and expensive!) than I do on my own, but its always a treat when we come here. On my last visit here I noticed a lot of people ordering the salt crusted fish and so I hope to try that on my next visit. My only complaint is that the whole table felt the dessert we ordered (pear tart) did not live up to our expectations. But, I would still recommend this restaurant to people for a special occasion!

The maitre d/ owner (?) was very nice, and the restaurant has a nice ambience, but overall we were very disappointed. We went on a groupon, it was such a nightmare trying to figure out how we could use it I literally had a headache before our 1st course was even served. The food was average- not worth the prices or the aggravation.

We enjoyed an evening of food and wine at the Paradiso recently. Our party of four had a nice table and great service. The food was pretty standard fare but prepared very well. What you would expect for a high end spot in the Palm Beach area. Spectacular wine list with hard to get vineyards and varietals. Only downside was the price. Very expensive. So if money is not an issue, and you want above average food and service, you will enjoy Paradiso.

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

We tried Paradisio last nite. I was puzzled by the reviews. Lots of 5 stars coupled with 1's and 2's (and sarcastic comments). I think I understand it now. My wife had grilled veggies/quinoa for an app and veal scaloppini for an entrée. She found both to be delightful and would rate Paradisio a five star. I had the burrata for an app. and rib eye for an entrée. The burrata was fine but my steak was so tough I could not finish it (cost of $52). There is your conundrum. If you are lucky you will have a great meal, and if not, a less than average meal. Whatever you do, have the gelato made at your table with the liquid nitrogen. It is fun, causes a stir, and tastes great. And how could I forget the wine list. More than extensive.............page after page of wines I had never heard of. Worse, the prices range from $70's-80's to the thousands. Who in God's name is going to spend $3000 on a bottle of wine at a restaurant in Lake Worth ? A little over the top and a little silly.

Phenomenal service and food. I recommend the seafood risotto. It is amazing! Service is 5 star all the way. This place is superior to most in Palm Beach. I cannot wait to return!

Angelo has a great taste for food and wine and his restaurant really make great food and has one of the best wine selection.....

Not worth the money. The location is very undesirable and the building old and tired. The chef Angelo is a jerk and if you dont like something it's too bad. What respectable italian rastaurant uses sauce from a can?

We had an absolutely fabulous 4 course tasting menu tonight. We are foodies and wine buff's and we so totally enjoyed this evening. This is a true catch - and if you enjoy good food, good service and great wine - it is the place for you! Vince and Joan Bufalino

After our unfortunate experience the owner Angelo quickly called us to apologize and offered a free dinner on our next visit to Palm Beach - I appreciated his quick follow up. We will definitely give him another shot.
